Sabora Tended camp is our home for the next two nights. It is located on one of the many vast open plains for which the Serengeti is classically known. The rooms have been furnished by the well known Cecile and Boyd team from South Africa. Their flair and style are impeccable. It’s one of the finest luxury camps in Africa today. In addition, the area of the camp is a private concession, which means we were completely alone during our safaris. It is the best of Serengeti.

Singita Serengeti (formerly known as The Grumeti reserves) is a collection of three old hunting concessions, which, when grouped as one reserve, is equal in size to the Maasai Mara.

Our second camp in the Lamai Serengeti is located on Northern Serengeti at the border to Kenya and sits on the iconic Kogakuria Kopje. The camp is in the path of the great Wildebeest Migration, and is no distance from the Mara River, where the famous river crossings may be found.

We stay at the Nomad camp, from where we have a beautiful view to the Masai Mara.

The Nomad guides know the area very well and are really good in tracking animals. We witness the big river crossing twice. Over two million wildebeest, zebras and gazelles move through the Serengeti and Masai Mara ecosystems in search of green pasture, in a regular pattern. The Great Wildebeest Migration is surely one of the greatest wonders of the natural world.

The mega fauna never fails to astonish.
