Say hello to the San Alfonso del Mar Seawater Pool, the largest (and deepest) pool in the entire world. This impressive man-made lagoon is as big as 20 Olympic sized swimming pools! Located in the city of Algarrobo, Chile, it is filled with 66 million gallons of pristine blue seawater and is next to the gorgeous views of the coast.
The pool filters its water via a computer controlled suction that sucks out water from the ocean, filters it and pumps it out into the man-made lagoon. This costs nearly USD 3 million a year to keep in working order.
The San Alfonso del mar Seawater Pool is perhaps one of the most exotic and funnest creations on the globe. Forget regular Olympic sized pools, I want to swim in Algarrobo, Chile!
