Christmas markets are sprawling in many parts of Europe now but this one in Brussels, Belgium is different from the rest. Winter Wonders Brussels is not just a simple Christmas market but a centre of fun and merrymaking for adults and children alike. Aside from the usual products sold in most Christmas markets, this event features more than two hundred businesses, an amusing ice rink, a giant Ferris wheel and a whole lot more.

What makes this year’s celebration even more exciting is its theme that pays homage to foreign cultures. Visitors will get to discover Quebec City through an art installation, enjoy traditional products from the land of caribou and marvel at the 22-metre fir tree from the City of Riga. Winter Wonders Brussels runs until January 4 so it’s never too late to engage in this joyful Christmas celebration.
