Christmas is coming and there’s no better way to spend the holiday season than shopping! Night markets will soon be sprawling in different parts of the world. One of the oldest and most famous Christmas fairs in Germany and probably all of Europe is the Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt. This year, it will run from November 28 to December 24.

There’s no exact date as to when the Christkindlesmarkt first began but the pre-Christmas event on Nuremberg’s Main Market Square dates back to the mid 16th century, which then became the foundation of Nuremberg’s Christmas celebrations for hundreds of years. Christkindlesmarkt traditionally opens with a Christmas angel pronouncing the official opening of the Christmas market. Expect a lot of stalls selling a variety of goods from Christmas decors to clothes and food. Of course, the whole shopping experience wouldn’t be complete without braving the crowd of people.
Head down to Germany to experience Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt before it’s over.
