Christmas is a special season that has marked an influence in many of his fairy tales. Every December, his hometown Odense, the third largest city in Denmark, opens a Christmas market to honour this world-renowned fairy tale writer.

The Hans Christian Andersen Christmas Market runs every first two weekends in December. This year it will open on December 4-6 and December 11-13. So what should you expect from this H.C. Anderson-themed Christmas market? You can experience an old fashioned market atmosphere with many booths selling different goods and products and a lot of entertainment inspired by the fairy tale writer.
