SIA Mooncakes Available to Public for the First Time

Get your stomachs ready! This Mid-Autumn Festival, Singapore Airlines will be making their mooncakes available for sale to the public for the very first time.

For the very first time, Singapore Airlines (SIA) will be making their mooncakes available for sale to the public! This Mid-Autumn Festival, passengers on selected SIA flights will be able to join in the celebrations on-flight, with this traditional Chinese pastry being served as part of their in-flight meal.

However, even if you’re not flying with SIA, you don’t have to worry about missing out! This year, these mooncakes will make their debut off flights, and will be available for purchase either online or at SIA’s lounges (Changi Airport) and Takashimaya (Ngee Ann City).

Each set of four mooncakes will be packaged in a specially designed gift box, which features SIA’s signature batik print and a limited edition 2014 collectible magnet with the SIA emblem. Flavours available range from the traditional (White Lotus With Double Yolk) to the more innovative (Passion Fruit with Rosella), and each box of four will cost SGD 68. Furthermore, you stand to win a pair of business class tickets to Shanghai with each box purchased.

Are you tempted to buy these SIA mooncakes yet? Take note of the early bird discounts for KrisFlyer and PPS Club members: purchases made before the end of July will be discounted by 15%!
