Phuktal Monastery, also known as Phugtal Gompa, is a Buddhist monastery in South-Eastern Zanskar, Ladakh in Northern India. It is founded by Gangsem Sherap Sampo in the early 12th century. It is distinctively built into a cliffside cave looking like a honeycomb. It is believed to have been visited by important sages, scholars and translators thousands of years ago.

The monastery has long been a place of retreat and meditation by believers of Buddhism. It is one of the few Buddhist monasteries in Ladakh, India that can be reached only on foot. Today, it houses the main temple, prayer rooms, library, apartments and other household and teaching facilities to accommodate the aspiring students and Buddhist monks.
