NINETEEN80 Arcade Bar In Singapore Will Be Expanding

Take a trip down memory lane!

Good news if you want to transport yourself to an era bygone! NINETEEN80, an arcade-bar located in the heart of Tanjong Pagar, Singapore, brings back the times of the 80’s and things are about to get bigger and better.

With a slew of old school arcade games – think Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter – that is sure to channel your fighting spirit into fun, action-packed bursts of entertainment, conspicuous murals with pop culture references making for the picture-perfect Instagram backdrop, a vintage facade inviting you to set foot into the vivacious night spot, pulsating grooves of the 80s and 90s to keep you swaying and sweet-tasting cocktail concoctions that will give you a buzz, you will surely be overcome with a wave of nostalgia.

The neon-lit tunnel retro bar and discotheque first opened its door in July 2018 as a tribute to Mohamed Sultan and Boat Quay nightclubs of the yesteryear. The venture by A Phat Cat Collective has hit the home run and it is slated to expand its vibrant space  from one single unit to span across four units complete with a major facelift this March 2020. It will be taking over the former space of Kilo Lounge – a stone’s throw away from its current place.

This can only mean a sweeping area with finer entertainment for the giddily exuberant crowds seeking a blast from the past. To celebrate this exhilarating expansion, Nineteen80 is hosting a relaunch bash during the weekend of March 19 to 21.

Brace yourself for nothing but a good time. Additional arcade machines, ample space to boogie to retro hits that ruled the music landscape and distillery delights aplenty, we can’t find any reason for you to give this event a miss. Or, you might just break into a wistful smile.
