Feast Your Eyes on These Mind-Blowing Graffiti in Asia

Asia's street art is culturally fascinating. Thanks to its quirky artists.

Graffiti has been gaining popularity among the masses for the value of art it exudes, shifting its focus away from negative connotation of illicit destruction of property. From intricate paintings to in-your-face hand-drawn graphics, graffiti artists often look to public spaces, illegally or not, to flaunt their talent, and it is a pity that several artistic pieces are painted over without any notice. Nevertheless, we’ve gathered some attractive artwork around Asia for the pleasure of your eyes. Next time you visit these cities, try to look out for them!

1. Chiang Mai

Wicked as it seems, this piece makes the ordinary sidewalk into one that is hip. It’s amazing how the artist captured a decent hue of bushes within the art to blend into the greenery behind.

Or how about this one? Pardon the flowery language, but hey, that holds some true meaning!

If Chiang Mai didn’t serve you well, head over to Bangkok. There is an abundance of walls plastered with amazing and photograph-worthy artworks. This colourful graffiti is a masterpiece indeed!

Now check out how the artists worked their charm!

This one at the Ratchathewi Skytrain Stop ain’t bad either! The field where this graffiti is seen is often patronised by young children who set up a net and play Thai kickball. Filled with garbage, tires and glass, artists often leave a mark of their finesse here for those who have an appreciation for art and those who like to be surrounded by splashes of colour.
