These Places Are Where You Should Travel to Next, According to TikTok

Are your favourite places trending?

TikTok seems to be the new television for millennials and zillennials, as it’s proving to be more convenient and interactive than not only TV but also YouTube. While TikTok rose to fame with dance covers and funny videos, travel videos weren’t far behind, and it was only a matter of time before travel content creators invaded the platform. That’s precisely the reason why you’re here right now. You want to know what destinations around the world make TikTok tick (pun intended). Well, without further ado, here are the most popular travel destinations according to TikTok views.

These findings were discovered by the travel booking website called Next Vacay, which took a look at the top trending travel destinations on TikTok. Next Vacay also cross-referenced the data against travel reviews on another booking guidance platform to consider other factors, such as weather, price points, and crowds.

  1. Disney World, Orlando – 8.6 billion views
  2. Burj Khalifa, Dubai – 1.9 billion views
  3. Eiffel Tower, France – 719 million views
  4. Taj Mahal, Agra – 377 million views
  5. Grand Canyon, Arizona – 273 million views
  6. Las Vegas Strip, Nevada – 259 million views
  7. Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco – 118 million views
  8. Hoover Dam, Nevada – 70 million views
  9. Yosemite National Park, California – 59 million views
  10. Stonehenge, England – 52 million views

If you think this list doesn’t closely reflect the travel destinations that receive the highest tourist turnouts, keep in mind that this only indicates the places that TikTok users are curious about at the given time. “Searches for ‘travel TikTok videos’ have soared by 350%, and it’s not hard to see why. In 2022, younger millennials and Gen-Z travelers are turning to the viral social media app for travel inspiration, unfiltered advice, and genius travel hacks,” said Next Vacay in an interview with T + L.

That also means that this list will definitely change, depending on the well-produced travel videos that content creators put out there; and, of course, the price points during different seasons. Should you have a destination in mind that you think deserves its limelight on the top TikTok travel videos, take this as your sign to get on the app. You never know if your short videos might go viral!
