From the iconic MBS to the super chic Gravity Bar, here's our round up of the best happy hours in Central Singapore!

Looking for some place to get your alcohol fix in a convenient central location after a stressful day at school or work? Want to maximise those happy hours deals littered all over Singapore but reluctant to travel further just to save a few bucks? We’ve got you covered in our list of the happiest happy hours right smack in the city centre which will cheer you up in no time! You’re welcome!

1. The Secret Mermaid

Quaintly tucked away in a quiet corner in the basement of the Ocean Financial Centre, it’s of little surprise that The Secret Mermaid could retain its mysterious “secret” status while being located along one of the busiest MRT walkways in Raffles Place.

From 5pm to 7pm, indulge in craft beers and cocktails from $11 and $14 respectively. Ladies get to enjoy “Whiskey Women’s Night” on Wednesday, with whiskey going at $14 all night long.

How to get there: The Ocean Financial Centre is a 3 minute walk from Raffles Place MRT.

2. Five Izakaya Bar

A mecca for any self-respecting thrifty drinker, this place loudly proclaims happy hours all day, every day! $5 for beers and house pours, Choya, and sake. Need we say more?

How to get there: The outlets at 16 Collyer Quay and Great Eastern Centre are both located within a 5 minute walk from Raffles Place MRT.

3. ME@OUE Rooftop Lounge

Mondays to Fridays, from 5pm to 8pm, house pours start from $7. The rooftop bar also boasts one of the best views of Marina Bay.

How to get there: ME@OUE is a 3 minute walk from Raffles Place MRT.

4. Standing Sushi Bar

When it comes to drinks at the Central Business District, it probably doesn’t get any cheaper than Standing Sushi Bar. At the 8 Queen Street outlet, all day long from Monday to Thursday, enjoy $2 sake, or $5 wine, umeshu, asahi, and hot sake. On Mondays and Thursdays, you can also tuck into a generous serving of salmon sashimi for only $3.

Over at Income @ Raffles (Hitachi Tower) and Marina Bay Link Mall, cheers to $10 martinis, $5 asahi, and $5 sake.

How to get there: The 8 Queen outlet is a 5 minutes walk from City Hall MRT. The outlets at Income @ Raffles and Marina Bay Link Mall are both 5 minutes walk from Raffles Place MRT.

5. Marina Bay Sands

With the introduction of Social Hourwe are now one step closer to bar hopping without breaking a hole in our wallets. Social Hour happens every Tuesday 6pm to 9pm at 14 participating outlets including Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen and David Myers’ Adrift.

How to get there: Marina Bay Sands is a 3 minutes walk from Bayfront MRT.

6. District 10

District 10 has outlets in Star Vista, UE Square, Clarke Quay, Suntec City, and even in Medan, Indonesia. Happy hours run from 11am to 9pm every day, except for Mondays. There’s one-for-one promos on a wide variety of drinks, from house pours to its menu of exotic gin and tonics. Don’t leave without trying the Bulldog Watermelon.

On Mondays, from 6pm to closing, enjoy $6 nett beers, prosecco, housepour spirits, and wines.

How to get there: The Star Vista is a 5 minutes walk from Buona Vista MRT, while Suntec City is either a 3 minutes walk from Esplanade MRT or an 8 minutes walk from City Hall MRT.

7. Gravity Bar

To enjoy the happy hours at one of the chicest location on our list, gravitate (blatant pun totally intended) towards Gravity Bar at Carlton Hotel at these times:

Mon – Thu: 5pm – 8pm

Fri – Sat: 3pm – 8pm

Sun: 5pm – 1am

How to get there: Carlton Hotel is a 5 minutes walk from Bras Basah MRT, City Hall MRT, and Esplanade MRT.
