Talk about witchcraft today and people would giddily associate it with JK Rowling’s “Harry Potter” without even knowing the real roots of this dark trade. In the olden times, many people who were suspected to be witches were persecuted because they were believed to be causing great misfortune, suffering and even death.

A British named Cecil Williamson dedicated his life in defending the world of witchcraft as he met and became close to a suspected “witch” in his village. He and his close friend then built the Museum of Witchcraft which received hostile judgment and persecution from the people. It had to be transferred several times until it found its final home in a remote fishing port of Boscastle on the north coast of Cornwall, England, UK.
