St. Basil's Cathedral

Amusingly similar to a castle in a fantasy world, St. Basil’s Cathedral, also known as the The Cathedral of Vasily the Blessed, in Red Square, Moscow, Russia is one of the most visually striking buildings in the world. It was a former church that later turned into a museum. It was commissioned by Ivan the Terrible in the 16th century to commemorate a military victory.

It may appear like one big castle but it’s actually made up of nine chapels built on a single foundation. Although the domes and towers appear chaotic, there’s still symmetry and beauty in its intricate and colourful design making it the most spellbinding structure in the world.
