Don’t you wish magic carpets are real? Miguel Chevalier, a French artist, makes your wish come true inside this medieval castle in Italy. When Miguel Chevalier visited Castel del Monte, a 13th-century castle in Andria, Apulia region of southeast Italy, he knew this was the perfect venue for his digital art installation called Magic Carpets 2014.
Miguel Chevalier Magic Carpets 2014 light show turns the floor of the octagonal inner courtyard of Castel del Monte into a psychedelic, interactive display of mosaics. This magical world of moving colours and shapes gives visitors a kaleidoscopic journey to the Middle Ages.
Until you’re there, here’s something for you to watch.
Head down to Italy to see the spectacular light show before it’s gone.
