Organised annually by the AmBank Group, the Ambang New Year’s concert will be in its tenth year this 31st December. The star-studded line-up of celebrities includes hosts Awal Ashaari and Fara Fauzana, as well as singers such as Amy Search and Datuk Jamal Abdillah. The highlight of the event would be the fireworks display that will light up the sky for 10 minutes. With costs reaching RM3 million and expected turnout of 100,000, this is one concert you will not want to miss.

Update: This event has been cancelled in view of severe floods.

KSL Sport Sri Gombak Futsal Centre, Selangor

If one of your New Year resolutions is to maintain a more active lifestyle, this is the countdown party for you. Led by instructors from JoyFit Malaysia, the 2-hour pre-countdown Zumba session will definitely get your body moving. After a good workout, cool down by enjoying the goody bag treats, and stand to win attractive prizes in the lucky draw as well.

Mutiara Damansara Commercial Centre (MDCC), Selangor

Keeping up with the fit and healthy theme is MDCC’s countdown event. Kick off the night with a fun run at 9pm, where you are encouraged to unleash your inner superhero or cartoon character by dressing up in your costumes. More excitement is in store at the New Year’s Eve Countdown Street Carnival and concert, followed by dazzling fireworks.
