10 Amazing Places to Get the Best Burgers in Singapore

A Guide to the Best Burger Places in Singapore

These check all the boxes: juicy, thick, and simply delicious.

I personally love a good juicy burger, and I’m constantly on the lookout for the best burgers in Singapore. Regardless of what your budget is, whether it’s $10 or $30, I’ve rounded up a variety of the best places where you can get a scrumptious burger for yourself in Singapore. After all, what’s better than a thick, juicy burger and a side of crispy french fries or onion rings?

Best burger restaurants in Singapore

1. Fatboy’s

To start off, my pick for the best burger place in Singapore with a-less-than-$20-damage is Fatboy’s. Established by Singaporean rapper Sheikh Haikal in 2009, Fatboy’s is known for its authentic and homemade, yet mouth-watering burgers. Likewise, you might be familiar with Fat Papa’s, which is the halal chain of Fatboy’s.

Over here, you can choose to build your own burger by customising the ingredients, or simply select from some of its most popular burgers, such as the Swiss Shroom — which comes with a juicy beef patty, sauteed shitake, and garlic aioli. If you’re feeling extra hungry, go for the Fat Basterd! This is your regular beef burger, but is double in volume and yumminess!

On the other hand, if you appreciate a sweet and savoury combination, try The Elvis! Inspired by the legendary rock star’s favourite sandwich, The Elvis comes with a pork patty, bacon, grilled bananas, and peanut butter. In addition, the Churger Royale will also satisfy your sweet tooth. This one has all the usual fixings of a beef burger, but on specially made churro buns! Though this combination of flavours might sound odd, you might find yourself impressed with it.

Tip: I recommend topping up S$2 to upgrade your side of fries to the many options that the menu carries, such as Truffle, Sweet Potato, or Beef Chili Cheese Fries.

Address: 187 Upper Thomson Rd, Singapore 574335

2. Black Tap

Black Tap in Marina Bay Sands is my go-to burger place in Singapore if I feel like splurging. Though burgers average at $25, the quality of burgers that you get are some of the best too. Black Tap doesn’t believe that burgers should just be a beef patty, veggies, and cheese in a bun; here, they’re topped with a mountain of condiments and side dishes.

My favourite is the Chili Cheese Burger, which (as its name suggests) comes with house chili, cheese, and frizzled onions — talk about an explosion of flavours and textures! Also, burgers here are served open-faced simply because the toppings on these burgers are that thicc

Finally, you can’t miss out on their signature milkshakes. Certainly for sharing, the milkshakes here are unlike any other — just take a look at its mountain of toppings! It’s truly the epitome of a dessert and milkshake in one.

3. Shake Shack

Shake Shack is probably the burger place that comes to mind when you think of fast food burger chains. With seven outlets islandwide and each restaurant boasting its own unique architectural style and menu items, it’s no surprise that this Manhattan-born fast food chain is one of the best burger joints in Singapore. Although the burger patties can be greasy, it’s the juiciness and flavour of the beef sandwiched between buttery buns that keep people coming back here.

Pair their popular menu items like the Shack Stack Burger, Crinkle Cut Fries, and their variety of Milkshakes against the restaurant’s pastel backdrop, and you’ll have yourself a quintessential American burger dining experience.

4. Carl’s Jr.

Another fast food restaurant that serves up delicious burgers is Carl’s Jr.! Though the price tag is steeper than your usual fast food joint, that’s probably because the quality of burgers served here are substantially better too; The burger patties are thick, juicy, and flavourful.

Choose from their cheaper menu items from the Chargrilled Beef Burger series that range from $13 and below, or go for their Premium Angus Beef selection, which goes all the way to $18!

My personal favourite is the Guacamole Angus Beef Burger, which comes with a creamy, savoury guacamole spread and crispy bacon (don’t worry, it’s not the usual rubbery bacon that you get from other fast food restaurants). Also, you simply can’t go wrong with their classic Portobello Mushroom Burger, which comes topped with juicy sauteed mushrooms

Above all, you can’t forget to order their famous Beef Chili Cheese Fries. If you’ve yet to try this amazing side dish, order it the next time you’re at Carl’s Jr., and you can thank us later.

5. 25 Degrees Burger, Wine & Liquor Bar

Known for its Hollywood theme and slider-style burgers at less than $15, 25 Degrees serves up compact food that’s full of flavour!

If you’re a fan of blue cheese, try their Number One burger, which is topped with caramelised onions and two types of cheese. First, crescenza is a milder cheese with a soft and creamy texture; but what stands out is the gorgonzola cheese, which is a type of blue cheese made from unskimmed cow’s milk. Though the pungency of gorgonzola may not be for everyone, I personally loved the unique flavour combination that came with every bite!

Imagine this: The flavours of juicy and savoury beef, crunchy and sweet onions, and strong cheese all combined together in one bite.

Other menu items include side dishes like Filthy Fries, which is topped with bacon gravy, caramelised onions, and cheese, and Tater Tot Nachos (think nachos, but instead of tortilla chips, it’s tater tots)! And if you have a sweet tooth, 25 Degrees also boasts a wide array of desserts like waffles and pancakes.

6. Wildfire Burgers

Located across the road from 25 Degrees Burger is Wildfire Burgers, which is one of the best burger joints in Singapore that also boasts an affordable price tag. With prices averaging around $14 and below, most of their options come with a Black Angus Beef Patty, like their Truffled Mushroom Burger and their Shabu Burger. Also, their SRF Wagyu Burger comes with a Snake River Farm Wagyu Beef Patty!

On the other hand, if you enjoy breakfast for dinner, why not go for The Eggstarter? This is a breakfast burger with creamy and butter-infused scrambled eggs and caramelised onions!

More importantly, I’d recommend adding a side of their Signature Fried Chicken, which is the perfect crunchy and juicy accompaniment to your delicious burger.

Address: 80 Bencoolen Street, #01-15, 1 NAFA Campus, 189655

7. Wolf Burgers

Similarly at Wolf Burgers, indulge in affordable delights at $13.90 and below! Enjoy their Alpha burger, which comes with a double beef patty and their homemade WOLF Sauce, or how about their Japanese-inspired Teriyaki Chicken burger?

For meat-free options, burgers come with either a Beyond or Impossible meat patty, along with the usual burger fixings like provolone cheese and sauteed mushrooms or onions.

Also, for a limited time only, Wolf Burgers has added rendang flavoured menu items, like their burger and fries! Try this out next time for a locally inspired twist to your usual burger meal.

Thus, it’s no wonder that Potato Head is the best burger joint in Singapore for a combination of amazing views and equally amazing burgers.

Serving up restaurant-style burgers with 100% beef burgers with only the freshest ingredients, the quality here is impeccable. Moreover, they carry two menu pages worth of exciting vegetarian or vegan options!

Choose from a range of different cheeses such as brie, aged cheddar cheese, or feta cheese, plus some sweet toppings such as lingonberries or fig jam!

I’d strongly recommend getting the set when you dine here, which includes a burger, a side, a cocktail (or mocktail), and a coffee — all for a very reasonable price. Nothing quite beats dining on German-style burgers amidst a cabin-style interior complete with timber logs and furniture!
