The Newly-Launched Taipei Fun Pass is Now Available for Tourists

Officially on sale from 15 Nov, the Taipei Fun Pass offers unlimited rides on public transportation plus free entry to various tourist attractions.

Exploring Taipei and its surroundings just got easier for travellers with the launch of the Taipei Fun Pass. This special card allows travellers to enjoy unlimited rides on the public transport (MRT system, city buses and five shuttle bus routes) in Taipei, New Taipei City and Keelung.

Two types are available: A basic one for transport only and a premium one which bundles up the transport perks with entry to attractions. The latter includes entrance to 12 popular attractions, including Taipei 101, the National Palace Museum, the Chiang Kai-Shek Shilin Residence and Miramar Entertainment Park.

This card is launched in cooperation with the New Taipei City Tourism and Travel Department and the Keelung Department of Transportation and Tourism.

The prices are listed below.

Basic Fun Pass:

  • One day pass: NT$180
  • One day pass (with Maokong Gondola): NT$350
  • Two day pass: NT$260
  • Three day pass: NT$440
  • Five day pass: NT$700

Premium Fun Pass:

  • One day pass: NT$1200
  • Two day pass: NT$1600
  • Three day pass: NT$1900

These passes can be purchased from its official website and then picked up at one of the five Visitor Information Centre in Taipei at Taipei Main Station, Songshan Airport, the Taipei 101/ World Trade Centre MRT Station, Banqiao Railway Station, and the Tamsui Visitor Information Centre.

With the Taipei Fun Pass, travellers can save up to 60% on their transport and sightseeing costs.
