To celebrate the upcoming Asia Pacific debut of the A350 XWB, Qatar Airways Singapore is launching a limited-time only flight sale. Fares to Barcelona, London, Paris, Rome and other exciting destinations will start from SGD1,065, giving passengers from Singapore even more to celebrate.

On sale from now until April 19, 2015, the promotion is enhanced by the long travel validity period. For passengers who are able to plan their trips in advance, these fares are good for travel from now through to November 30, 2015.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker said: “To be the first airline to fly the A350 XWB in Asia and in particular into Singapore, one of Asia’s leading business cities, is a great milestone for Qatar Airways.

“To commemorate and celebrate this milestone, we are therefore very pleased to unveil a host of special airfares that will enable our valued customers to book their flights for less to their desired destination. When flying with Qatar Airways, passengers can be assured of a modern fleet coupled with our award-winning five-star hospitality as well as our international state-of-the-art gateway – Hamad International Airport – which offers seamless connections to numerous global destinations.”

He added: “Singapore is an important and strategic market for Qatar Airways. Thus we have chosen Singapore as the first Asian country to receive the A350 XWB aircraft in May. With the progressive switch to the A350 and the additional third-daily flight out of Singapore from later this year, not only will more passengers be able to experience our award-winning product, passengers will also benefit from shorter transit times for onward connecting flights to Europe and parts of the US when they fly with Qatar Airways.”

Qatar Airways was the global launch customer for the A350 XWB, and remains the only airline to currently fly the world’s newest wide-body aircraft. Singapore will be only the second A350 XWB route for Qatar Airways, which is now flying to Frankfurt double-daily exclusively with the A350 XWB.

The current double-daily service to Singapore is operated by the Dreamliner and will progressively be replaced by the next generation A350 XWB aircraft. In addition, from later this summer [third frequency is due in August – date to be confirmed, subject to aircraft deliveries]; Qatar Airways will have an additional daily flight to Singapore, as part of its global expansion drive and to cater to the increase in passenger demand. All three daily flights will be operated using A350s by mid-August.

Passengers on board the A350 XWB can be assured of a premium travel experience, thanks to the innovative product design and the intrinsic comfort of its entirely new cabin set-up which also offers wide seats with generous room in all classes of service thanks to a number of design developments.

The Business Class cabin has 36 seats in a 1-2-1 configuration featuring an 80” full flat bed and 17” HD in-flight entertainment screen. The Economy Class features 247 18-inch wide seats in a 3-3-3 configuration, each with a 10.6” in-flight entertainment screen, and more space at shoulder level for passengers in window seats due to the vertical side wall panel design.

The world’s newest wide-body aircraft also offers advanced air conditioning technology and LED mood lighting to enhance the comfort of passengers while reducing fatigue after a long flight, as well as in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity for all passengers allowing them to surf the web on the go.

One of the fastest growing airlines in the world, Qatar Airways has experienced rapid growth in just 18 years of operation. Today it flies a modern fleet of 152 aircraft to 146 key business and leisure destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, North America and South America.
