Waldspirale, which translates to “wooded spiral”, is a true testament to Hundertwasser’s great desire to live harmoniously with nature. Finished in 2000, the same year Hundertwasser died, Waldspirale has 12 floors, 105 apartments and more than 1000 unique windows. No two windows are exactly alike and trees grow through them. The residential complex is also complete with a playground for children, small artificial lake, a kiosk, a cafe and a bar where residents can hang around. With its fairytale setting, eco-friendly architecture and wonderful amenities, who doesn’t want to live here?
