Grand seems to be an understatement. With the profoundly magnificent scenery at Toroweap Overlook, you’d gaze in wonder until the sun sets. The overlook can only be reached through the unpaved roads of the Grand Canyon. One way is to go through State Route 389 west of Fredonia and another way is from Colorado City.
There are no lodging and food in the area, but you won’t mind ingesting all the dusts and rocks just to capture this awe-inspiring view. If you wish to spend a night there, head to the primitive campground just 1 mile north of the overlook. There is also a ranger station north of the campground that has emergency water to re-hydrate yourself after an adventurous trek at the overlook.
