Designed by local architect Giorgi Khmaladze, this ultramodern structure is among the best buildings of the year. It won ArchDaily‘s best commercial building award.

Built in one of the newly urbanized areas of Batumi, Georgia, on the Black Sea Coast, this impressive architecture includes a McDonald’s outlet, a fuel station, a reflective pool, a green garden and other recreational spaces. The whole site is jam-packed with everything you need for an awesome stop-over.

You don’t need to worry about the gas smell when munching your favourite McDonald’s meal because there’s an ‘ecological shield’ of vegetation to keep the fumes away from the dining area.
