One fascinating yet mysterious site you need to visit in Laos is the Plain of Jars. These megalithic jars scattered around the landscape of Xieng Khouang, also known as Phonsavan, are big enough to contain a human body. Little is known about the exact origin of the jars but they are believed to be linked with prehistoric burial practices.
