The Phoenix Towers in Wuhan, China will be the next tallest skyscraper in the world. If successfully completed, one of the two towers will be 172 metres taller than Burj Khalifa in Dubai, which currently holds the record as the tallest structure ever built by mankind.

The Phoenix Towers are superbly futuristic. The three of the spheres in between will serve as celestial-themed restaurants and a giant wind-powered kaleidoscope will also be attached. The attractive pink facade resembles the splendid sunsets of the region. This ambitious architectural endeavour is meticulously planned to be environmentally friendly as well. It will have green features such as pollution-absorbing technologies to filter the city’s air and water. If only buildings were built this way, we could have reduced enormous amounts of carbon footprints in our environment.
