The mere sight of jellyfish will surely give you an itchy sensation. Contrary to popular belief, the millions of jellyfish in Jellyfish Lake don’t sting humans. Located in Eil Malk Island, Palau, it is the only place on earth where you can safely swim amongst millions of these creatures.
Jellyfish Lake is the only marine lake in Palau open to tourists. A pass of USD 100 (SGD 126) valid for 10 days is required for tourists to snorkel in this blissful lake. With the rich marine life, it may be interesting to explore the waters by scuba diving. Unfortunately, this activity is prohibited because bubbles from the tanks may harm the jellyfish and disrupt their ecological balance.
