Floating Tap? Or Clever Illusion?

Floating Tap? Or Clever Illusion?

This floating tap is no magic trick. Several of these giant taps are located all over Spain, Belgium, USA, Canada and elsewhere in the world. Each of them consist of a curious faucet hovering over a pool of water, with a continuous flow of water gushing out. The faucet has no visible support and the water looks as though it is coming from nowhere.

This floating tap is no magic trick. Giant taps are located all over Spain, Belgium, USA, Canada and elsewhere in the world. Each of them consist of a curious faucet hovering over a pool of water, with a continuous flow of water gushing out. The faucet has no visible support and the water looks as though it is coming from nowhere.

How was this illusion created? Apparently, it is achieved by a transparent tube in the middle of the water column that not only secures the faucet in place, but also pumps water from below. The water enters the tube and exits from the top. The vast amounts of water gushing out hides the tube from view.
