With a height of 112.5 metres (369 feet), Dom Tower Utrecht is by far the tallest church tower in the whole of Netherlands. Its immense size truly signifies the power of the church in Utrecht. In addition to being a church icon, Dom Tower is a multifunctional building containing a private chapel of the bishop of Utrecht and a visitor centre which organises guided tours that allow people to climb the 465 steps to the top, explore the tower galleries and enjoy the panoramic view of the city. The tower may also serve as a venue for weddings.
