Going with the theme of gifting an unforgettable birthday to a loved one, Japan By Japan (JbyJ) is currently searching for lucky Singaporean winners who will be the stars of their upcoming promotional videos. Yes, your entire trip will be filmed to promote tourism in the Land of Rising Sun!

Which destinations will you be visiting?

1. Hokkaido

Taking place from 3 to 8 Sep 2023, this breathtaking exploration in Hokkaido is specially designed for a family of four: two adults and two children the age of 11 and above. FYI, Hokkaido is famous for its pristine natural wonders and prosperous agriculture. That said, expect the itinerary to include fun outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, and canoeing before you indulge in the taste of freshly harvested vegetables from the field. Psst, the underrated destinations you’ll likely be going to are Kushiro, Furano, Sapporo, and Chitose

2. Hiroshima and San’in

Calling all love birds! This fully sponsored tour to Hiroshima and San’in will begin in November 2023, and it’s made exclusively for two. Hiroshima is known for its storied past and historical sites, while San’in boasts stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage. Some of the cute stuff you’ll do with your partner include making your own dream rings in Izumo and cycling around the gorgeous Seto Inland Sea. Island hopping, sightseeing, and jeans-making are the other fun things to look forward to during the trip.

Who is eligible for the free Japan tour?

The contest is open to all Singaporean citizens who consent to their pictures and videos being taken by the JbyJ team for promotional purposes.

What are the tasks?

1. Plan an itinerary

With the help of JbyJ staff, you are to design a complete itinerary for places you and your travel partner(s) are planning to visit. And don’t forget to include the things you wish to do in the schedule.

2. Embark on an epic adventure in Japan!

The only thing left for you to do is explore Japan’s underrated sides with a professional photographer/videographer by your side. Make sure to share your thoughts on the trip along the journey.

How to apply for this free Japan contest?

Applications are open until 18 Jun 2023.

  1. Create an introductory video on why JbyJ should sponsor you and your loved one(s).
  2. Register as a JbyJ member before you log in and fill in the online registration form. 
  3. Attend a simple interview (online/face-to-face, depending on your schedule) after the shortlisting.
