Theme parks come in different sizes and shapes but they all have the same goal of providing fun and entertainment for everyone. However, there’s a bizarre theme park in Kunming, China called the ‘Kingdom of the Little People’ which has been a subject of controversy because it employs an all-dwarf staff. It’s been criticised for being exploitative and offensive to people with dwarfism, a medical condition that causes afflicted individuals to be abnormally short in stature.

Despite the contentions of some human rights advocates, Chen Mingjing, the park’s founder, argues that the business provides employment to those who would otherwise be unemployed. The park allows them to build self-esteem and respect while earning for a living.

Whether the Kingdom of the Little People is inhuman or not, you would definitely agree that it is no ordinary theme park that deserves to be enjoyed by anyone big or small.

Here’s a documentary that lets you uncover the world of these little people.
