Just in time for Christmas! Another addition to Hong Kong’s stunning skyline is the new Hong Kong Observation Wheel. Hundreds of people lined up during its official opening on December 5 just to experience what it’s like to ride this 60-metre-tall harbourfront Ferris wheel.
The wheel spins with 42 gondolas well-equipped with a heater for winter, an air-conditioner for summer and free Wi-Fi so you can snap photos and post updates real time while you’re still enjoying the moment. The wheel opens from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM and tickets cost HKD100 (approx. SGD17) for adults and HKD70 (approx. SGD12) for students, children under 12, seniors and PWDs.
Until you ride the wheel yourself, here’s a time-lapse for you to watch.
Riding the Hong Kong Observation Wheel should be on your list of must-do activities in Hong Kong.
