Ahhh. February. It’s that time of the year again. Valentine’s Day is a day that many people, especially couples, look forward to. But while couples enjoy the romantic day, many single people feel down and discouraged just because they have no one to spend VDay with. No date? No problem! There are many other perks of being single on Valentine’s day!

You won’t be breaking the bank

Buying flowers and chocolates, spending for a fancy restaurant, getting worked up for a surprise; all these are costly and will leave your wallet screaming! If you’re single on Valentine’s, you don’t have to worry about breaking the bank on all these things. Instead, you can spend your money on something more self-fulfilling.

No commitments, no responsibilities

In many cases, Valentine’s day becomes a day of obligation for many couples. When it’s V-Day, for some reason, couples feel that they have to have a special date for the occasion. If you’re single, there are no responsibilities. You do not need to be committed or obligated to exert efforts for one day of temporary bliss.

Your schedule is flexible

You get to decide for your own schedule. You control your own time. You don’t need to worry about being early for your Valentine’s dinner date or there’s no need to rush to the flower and gift shops to buy your partner gifts.

Achieve more on your own, learn more about yourself, tick off your goals on your bucket list; make Valentine’s the perfect opportunity to find your own person. You can take a quick one-day getaway or simply spend time at your favourite spot where you can reflect.

Valentine’s Day this year is a Tuesday but that is no excuse to not go out there and mingle! You won’t feel guilty about anything; you need not explain yourself; do not be afraid to meet new people and spend time with the crowd.
