This indoor light and music show might just be one of the most surprising finds in Genting. Held daily at SkyAvenue, the SkySymphony show features massive LED screens paired with 1,001 kinetic balls that float and dance in the air to music and storytelling visuals. Shows run every 30 minutes, and each one is themed differently. Some tell folktales, others spotlight marine life or mythical creatures.

It’s visually stunning, lasts under 10 minutes, and is absolutely free. Just stand at the central atrium (Level 1) and look up.

2. Take in the views from the SkyAvenue escalator

It sounds simple, but this long, sloped escalator ride offers some of the most unexpectedly peaceful views in Genting. As you ride up between floors, the glass walls give you a glimpse of the mist rolling over the mountains, with sunlight or fog filtering through at different times of day.

It’s a quiet moment to slow down, take a breather, and appreciate the elevation, especially if you’ve been darting between attractions.

3. Visit Chin Swee Caves Temple

Located about 10 minutes from the main resort area, Chin Swee Caves Temple is one of Genting’s most beautiful cultural landmarks. Perched on a cliffside at 4,600 feet above sea level, this Taoist temple offers panoramic views of the surrounding rainforest and valleys. Visitors are free to explore the temple grounds, including a nine-storey pagoda, a 15-metre seated Buddha, and a winding “Journey to Enlightenment” path filled with thought-provoking dioramas.

A free shuttle bus runs between Resorts World Genting and the temple every hour, or you can get there by car or Grab in under 15 minutes.

4. Go on a self-guided nature walk at Awana Bio Park

If you want to escape the crowds and reconnect with nature, the Awana Bio Park is a great place to start. Located near the Awana Hotel, this preserved stretch of montane rainforest is home to orchids, wild ferns, butterflies, and birds. While there are guided tours available, you can also explore the self-guided trail for free. Just check in at the hotel concierge to register before entering.

The trail is well-marked, and the crisp highland air makes it a lovely spot for a morning walk.
