Getting There

The most common route to Sentosa is monorail from VivoCity, the mall adjacent to HarbourFront MRT station. Be there around 9am to catch the window between the morning rush and tourist crowds.

For a quieter (and free!) option, the Sentosa Boardwalk from VivoCity takes just 15 minutes to cross on foot.

If you’re looking for a swinging start to your Sentosa Itinerary 2026, consider the Singapore Cable Car from Faber Peak. Breathtaking views of the island and the cityscape from the harbour starts your journey with an experience in itself. Plus, bundle tickets with other attractions such as the Oceanarium and Universal Studios Singapore makes it a pretty good deal.

9:30 AM – Cable Car Experience

Start with the iconic cable car ride itself. As you soar above the water, take in the views and snap some photos. The whole journey takes 10 minutes, but memories will stay with you for a while.

Couples will find this a wonderfully romantic start to the day, and kids will love the thrill of being suspended in mid air.

11:00 AM – Luge and Skyride

Next, head to the Luge. This three-wheeled luge ride winds downhill through a jungle path. It’s thrilling but accessible for most fitness levels. The Skyride chairlift brings you back up, giving you time to catch your breath and enjoy more island views. Multiple runs are possible if you can’t get enough.

Parents can use it as a good break from the kids, or experience it as a family as you compete for bragging rights. Either way, you’ll come away with precious memories.

Rainy day alternatives: Try Universal Studios, or Madame Tussauds Singapore. Both offer indoor and covered attractions, and rainy weather might mean shorter queues.

1:00 PM – Lunch with Beach Views

Grab lunch at one of the beachside shacks or food vans near Siloso Beach for beach views and chill vibes.

Rainy day alternative: Browse the indoor dining options at Mess Hall.

3:00 PM – Singapore Oceanarium

Spend your afternoon exploring the Singapore Oceanarium, a completely reimagined experience after its 2026 reopening. Its Open Ocean habitat features a stunning 36-metre-wide viewing panel to admire the sea creatures in their full glory. Add interactive exhibits and daily presentations into their offerings, and you’ll find yourself captivated for 2-4 hours. The Oceanarium’s zones include everything from coral gardens to prehistoric underwater worlds, and illuminated jellyfish zones make for the best pictures.

Pro tip: Bundle tickets combining the cable car and Oceanarium are significantly cheaper than purchasing separately. Look for Sky Pass combo packages when booking.

Note: The Oceanarium is closed on Tuesdays for maintenance.

5:30 PM – Sensory Break Before the Evening

By now, you might feel a bit overstimulated. Besides finding a quiet spot to recharge, a stroll through the nearby Sentosa Sensoryscape can help. The trail conveniently connects Resorts World Sentosa to Siloso Beach if that’s where you’re headed next.

Breathe. Hydrate. Check your photos.

7:15 PM – Cable Car Finale with SkyOrb Cabins

End your Sentosa itinerary where you began, but transformed. Catch unparalleled sunset views of the city skyline from the cable car’s unbeatable vantage point.

The futuristic, chrome-finished spherical SkyOrb cabins’ glass floors offer panoramic views beneath your feet. At night, illuminated rings cast a futuristic glow, transforming the journey into something magical. They’re award-winning too: named Best Scenic Attraction and Best Iconic Experience at the TripZilla Excellence Awards in 2025.

The private space makes these cabins ideal if you need a sensory break.  Extended operating hours mean you won’t feel rushed on this magical experience.

Pro Tip: Preview the experience at different times of the day through YouTube before your trip.
