Scentopia is a hands-on scent experience at Siloso Beach Walk in Sentosa, best known for its make-your-own perfume workshop. It’s beginner-friendly and designed to feel approachable, even if you’ve never thought much about fragrance beyond “I like it” or “I don’t.”

It’s a strong pick for couples, families, and solo travellers who want something creative and practical in the middle of a Sentosa day. You can treat it as an indoor break from the heat, then step straight back out to the beach. If you’re undecided, it also works as a quick drop-in stop first, then you can decide whether to upgrade to the workshop.

What you do in the perfume-making workshop
The workshop starts with a short scent personality quiz, which points you towards the scent families that tend to match your preferences. From there, the session becomes a smell, shortlist, then blend process.
A big part of the workshop is moving through five themed scent rooms: citrus, fresh, floral, woody, and oriental. Each room is stocked with a wide selection of oils, so you can narrow down what you genuinely enjoy instead of guessing. After that, you blend your chosen oils into a personal formula, test as you go, then bottle your final fragrance to take home in a 50ml bottle.
Most people spend around 45 to 90 minutes, depending on the package and how long they take to experiment.

What you can do without the workshop ticket
If you’re not ready to commit to making a perfume, you can still visit and treat it like a quick sensory stop on your Siloso Beach walk. It works well as a short break from the sun, especially if you’re hopping between beach activities.
Without the workshop ticket, you can typically enter the space to look around, explore the interactive exhibits, and browse the retail section for scented items and giftable souvenirs. If you decide you want the full experience, the workshop is the part that gives you the blending process and the take-home bottle.

Tips that make the experience smoother
Plan around your nose
If you try to smell everything, it gets overwhelming fast. It’s easier to shortlist a few favourites in each scent room, then come back for a second pass before blending. The goal is a perfume you’ll actually wear, not just the most interesting combination.
Pair it with a Siloso itinerary
Because it’s right by the beach, Scentopia fits nicely as a mid-day break from the sun, or as a calmer stop before dinner elsewhere on Sentosa.
Parking and getting around
If you’re driving into Sentosa, Beach Station is a useful anchor point before heading over to Siloso Beach Walk.
What to bring
Bring water and arrive in a light layer if you tend to get warm. If you’re scent-sensitive, a quick outdoor breather between smelling sessions helps reset your sense of smell.
