If there are cylindrical homes, there are also cubic ones! Designed by architect Piet Blom in 1984, the Cube Houses (Dutch: Kubuswoningen) are set of innovative residential structures based on the concept of “living as an urban roof”: high density housing with sufficient space on the ground level. You can find these Dutch cube houses on Overblaak Street, right above the Blaak Subway Station in Rotterdam.
