Singaporeans can now travel in Mongolia for 30 days visa-free, an increase from the current 14 days, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Thursday, 8 June.

The new agreement between the two states is a fresh update following Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s visit to Mongolia last July. He revealed then that there were plans with Mongolia to exempt Singaporeans from the visa requirement.

Several years ago, a similar visa waiver was also granted to Mongolian citizens visiting Singapore. The MFA has expressed hope that the new agreement will “facilitate tourism and business exchanges, and strengthen the friendly relations between Mongolia and Singapore”.

Located right in the middle of two superpowers, China and Russia, Mongolia too has proven to be a great place for travel and discovery. It is home to some of the most beautiful sights and sounds like the Ulaanbaatar and The Gobi Desert.

Take a chance and experience priceless moments like sleeping in a ger or meeting nomadic families! You know, the type of adventures you can hardly plan for. You never know who you might meet or what adventures lie next, which is what makes Mongolia a great next destination stop
