The campaign is called “Buy International, Free Thailand Domestic Flights.” It encourages tourists to explore secondary destinations across the country. Ranging from peaceful countryside towns to hidden cultural gems and pristine beaches. In doing so, this initiative aims to highlight the lesser-known sides of Thailand.
If you hold an international flight ticket to Thailand, you can claim one round-trip domestic flight, which includes 20 kilograms of checked baggage. What’s more, the offer extends across six major Thai carriers: Thai Airways, Thai AirAsia, Bangkok Airways, Nok Air, Thai Lion Air, and Thai Vietjet.
To get started, travellers simply need to book their international flights directly through the airlines or via online travel agents. After that, the free domestic flight can be claimed, making the process straightforward and easy.

The program is scheduled to run from September to November 2025. The government will subsidise 1,750 baht per one-way ticket or 3,500 baht for a round-trip ticket for each tourist. This subsidy makes it easier for travellers to explore multiple destinations within Thailand without the added expense of domestic flights.
Beyond being a perk for tourists, the initiative is also expected to have a significant economic impact. It would benefit local businesses, restaurants, and attractions in secondary destinations.
