This cliff house may be insane for some people but the concept is not far-fetched. Designed by Modscape, this five-storey modular home in Australia is taking ‘living on the edge’ to the extreme level. This is certainly not a comfortable home for the acrophobic, but for the brave earthlings, why not?
First question in mind is the security – seems like the entire structure could plummet to the ocean anytime. Inspired by how barnacles cling to the hull of a ship, the house uses prefabrication modules stacked into each other and anchored to the cliff using engineered steel pins. It should be safe and sturdy enough to give you a home that is completely in one with nature.
