1. Vertigo and Moon Bar

Located just minutes away from the Patpong entertainment district and within walking distance to MBK Centre, it is almost impossible to miss this luxury hotel as you stroll along Sathorn Road. As soon as you arrive, just take the lift up to the 61st floor and you will be greeted by an alfresco dining restaurant that offers a breathtaking 360 degree view of your surroundings.

Instagrammable #ootd shots aside, the ambience of Vertigo and Moon Bar makes it an ideal spot for a date night. The only downside is that food and drinks here are much pricier compared to other rooftop bars in the area so expect to splurge a little more.  But hey, how often do you get to chill in such an extraordinary setting while spending some real quality time with your loved one?

Set atop the 29th floor of Sofitel So, Park Society differs from Vertigo and Moon Bar not just for its range of unique cocktails that’s affordable and would impress even the most discerning of cocktail lovers, but also stunning views of greenery and lakes in Lumpini Park in the foreground. When the sun starts to set, that’s when you will see tall skyscrapers in all of its glory – in a myriad of mind-blowing lights and colours. Also, if heights don’t faze you, we’d recommend you climb up to the Hi-So terrace for a more spectacular view from a higher level.

Do note that if you are not a guest, you might be asked to pay an admission fee, but fret not as this is included in your first basic drink.

Needless to say, at 84 storeys high, the view is indeed exceptional and the experience priceless. What a better way to end off your night in Bangkok than to sip on a variety of fine wines and munch on light bites?

A hidden gem that’s away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this eclectic rooftop bar is unlike any other watering hole that we’ve ever come across – you have to go through a secret door to get to the top. Riding on a 1920’s theme, The Speakeasy certainly has a character of its own, with classy decors, vintage-looking menus and cocktails served in quirky jam jars. How cool!

While it might not be the most impressive in terms of views, it is perhaps one of the best places to truly rest, recharge and let your hair down with no major distractions, like the overzealous backpackers that we see all too often.

There’s no doubt that this bar is fast becoming one of the most famous sky bars in the city, thanks to their innovative cocktails, striking atmosphere and incredible views from the 63rd floor.

One thing to note though – crowds here are inevitable. So unless you don’t mind the buzz, we’d rather you head somewhere else to chill. Otherwise, brace yourselves for an unforgettable evening under the stars.
