The Hollywood movie where Son Ye-jin is expected to appear is called Cross. The film will be directed by Andrew Niccol, who has written and directed movies like The Host and Anon.
According to Son Ye-Jin’s agency MS Team Entertainment, they’re almost sure that our favourite unnie’s going to be signing any time now. “Son Ye-Jin is in talks for the movie Cross, and the outlook is favourable. Unless there are any huge changes, she’ll be going through with it,” the agency said.

The movie Cross is set in a sci-fi world which features a multi-racial nation where rich and poor are divided. Son Ye-jin will reportedly play the role of Vera, a single mother raising her child in the poorer division of the country. According to Soompi and other local Korea news outlets, Son Ye-jin will star opposite Sam Worthington, who rose to fame as the lead actor in Avatar and Terminator Salvation.
Aside from Son Ye-jin, Parasite star Lee Sun Gyun is also in talks to star in Cross as a chief in border control. However, his agency told news outlets that the Korean actor hasn’t completely decided yet. “Lee Sun Gyun has received a casting offer for Cross and is currently reviewing the offer. He has not yet come to a decision,” stated a rep from HODU&U Entertainment.

Cross is said to start shooting in South Korea next March, and we can’t wait to hear more updates. Let’s cross our fingers that Son Ye-jin, one of our favourite Korean actresses, will finally get the red carpet moment that she deserves. Hollywood better be ready!
