Lee Min Ho Will Soon Take His Place in Madame Tussauds Singapore!

With a waxed figure to immortalise him, Lee Min Ho is the eternal monarch indeed.

Oh, happy day! The king himself, Lee Min Ho, is confirmed to join his fellow Korean stars in Madame Tussauds Singapore next week. According to the museum’s press release, his wax figure will be placed in the museum’s K-Wave zone alongside Song Seung-heon, Kim Woo Bin, and Bae Suzy. But here’s the catch, Lee Min Ho’s ever so dapper wax figure will be there for a limited time only. Madame Tussauds Singapore has yet to announce the last date in which K-drama fans can catch the actor in the museum.

The addition of Lee Min Ho’s wax figure in Madame Tussauds comes at a time when Singapore is trying to quench the wanderlust of its citizens. Just last month, the museum opened its K-Wave zone with a cherry blossom tree in the middle so that visitors could experience the joys of sakura season without travelling to South Korea.

Lee Min Ho is one of the hottest K-drama stars right now with 23 million followers on his official Instagram account. Anything he posts gets at least one million likes — how’s that for star quality? His last K-drama was (aptly) called The King: Eternal Monarch and streamed on Netflix. As we speak, he’s hard at work in Canada while shooting his upcoming series called Pachinko. In this story, he plays Hansu, an outsider and merchant connected to organised crime.

On top of that, Madame Tussauds Singapore’s General Manager, Alex Ward, had exciting news about the future of the Korean area in the museum: “We are proud and honoured to have Lee Min Ho joining the rest of the stars at the new K-Wave zone. We believe that his figure will definitely draw the attention of many, and we will continue to bring in more stars throughout the year.”

Did the General Manager just say “more stars”? Now, that just sends our imagination flying! We’re crossing our fingers that the future Korean stars will include Park Seo-Joon, Hyun Bin, Son Ye Jin, and maybe even our favourite K-pop idols, BTS and BlackPink!
