Joyce LeeLove Hallyu and Korea? Well, you’re in luck because the Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) will be hosting a spectacular travel fair this May at Our Tampines Hub. The Korea Travel Fair will run from 12 to 14 May and gather a treasure trove of travel deals, destinations, and products under one roof.
Acclaimed South Korean actor Lee Do-hyun will make an appearance at the KTO fair on 13 May to meet his Singapore fans and share his travel experiences. Read on to find out everything you need to know about this unmissable event!

What is there to see and do at the Korea Travel Fair?

The Korea Travel Fair is a one-stop shop for all your travel and Hallyu needs. You can speak to regional tourism organisations to discover the diverse array of destinations in Korea. South Korea has so much more to explore aside from Seoul. Tourism organisations from Jeju, Gwangju, Busan, Gangwon, and other regions will be available to sate your curiosity about lesser-known gems outside the capital.
Travel agencies such as Chan Brothers, ASA Holidays, and EU Holidays will also be there to show you the incredible Korea packages they have prepared. Overall, more than 55 exhibitors will be present.

Of course, the fair caters to Hallyu fans wanting their fix of K-culture. Visitors can take part in a K-food cooking class, where they will learn how to whip up classic Korean dishes like bibimbap (mixed rice) and sundubu jjigae (soft beancurd stew). For the beauty enthusiasts, there is a K-beauty workshop which will teach you how to recreate the cutest Korean idol makeup looks.

Lastly, the KTO fair has in store Korean movie screenings and a non-verbal art performance titled: The Painters. This mesmerising performance blends painting, dance, comedy, and visual effects to create an experience sure to impress any art fan.

How can I participate in the fair?

Admission is free! The Korea Travel Fair is open to the public and you won’t have to buy tickets to enter. However, there are limited slots available for the K-food cooking class and K-beauty workshop. If you wish to join these activities, you need to book a slot in advance. Just look through the KTO official Facebook page to find the sign-up links for your desired activity.
Who is the Hallyu star appearing at the fair?

Lee Do-hyun is an actor you may recognise from the dark fantasy series Hotel del Luna or the Netflix revenge thriller, The Glory. He made his acting debut in the 2017 series Prison Playbook, and was nominated “Character of the Year” at the 2018 SBS Drama Awards for his supporting role in Still 17.
He will appear at the Korea Travel Fair on 13 May, Saturday. Fans can look forward to hearing about his experiences travelling around Korea for his drama shoots. A lucky few can win an autograph signed by Lee during a travel talk show.
