Hippos on the Loose! They are Almost Ready to Attack Humans

Looking like they are about to attack humans, these hippos are actually sculptures creatively installed to complement the African Animal Area in Taipei Zoo.

The scene of what looks like hippos emerging from a pool might seem alarming, but these are actually creative sculptures. They were designed to complement the African Animal Area at the Taipei Zoo. Conceptualised by former zoo director Chen Pao-chung, Hippo Square has since become one of the zoo’s most distinctive non-living features.

Considered to be one of the world’s most creative sculptures, the Hippo Square has won the hearts of many photography enthusiasts and art lovers around the world.

If these hippo sculptures don’t scare the hell out of you, might as well see the real one.
