Top Fun Family Attractions in Singapore and JB

When you want to have some family time, here's where you must go!

Family dinners and downtime are important, but you know what’s also worth rounding up the whole family for? Having fun! Here are seven of the most fun family-friendly attractions you should make a point to visit when the weekend rolls around.

1.   River Safari

It’s hard to not be excited by River Safari no matter how old you are, as there’s always something to learn at this river-themed wildlife park. The whole family will be awed by over 7,500 aquatic and terrestrial animals, and they’ll go home knowing more about conservation of these animals’ natural habitats too!

You can also get even more up-close with the animals through programs like Manatee Mania in which you’d get to meet, train and feed the adorable manatee family.

2.   Universal Studios Singapore

You simply don’t talk about having fun in Singapore without mentioning Universal Studios Singapore (USS)! With loads of rides, shows and parades for the whole family to enjoy, every minute spent in USS will be worth the trip.

Apart from having a blast on boat rides like Madagascar: A Crate Adventure, or screaming at the top of your lungs on roller-coasters such as Enchanted Airways, don’t forget that you can meet and snap photos with your favourite characters. Also, catch the daily fireworks towards the end of the night!

Address: 8 Sentosa Gateway, 098269

3. KidsSTOP

Want to spend a fun, educational day with your little ones? Then check out KidsSTOP, winner of TripZilla Excellence Awards 2022 for Most Popular Attraction for children. Located in Science Centre Singapore, KidsSTOP is a dedicated child-friendly zone that stimulates a child’s curiosity within a safe and conducive environment. There are over 20 exhibits here to check out and plenty of interactive activities in themed zones to keep your little ones (and the young at heart) entertained!

Address: 21 Jurong Town Hall Rd, Singapore 609433

4.   Skyline Luge

Admire the beautiful view of Sentosa while you’re going up on the Skyride, and have the most thrilling journey down by riding the Luge. Just one ride down will leave you itching to go on again, so it’s a good thing that there are special family combo prices which start at two Luge rides per person.

Address: 1 Imbiah Rd, 099692

5.   HeadRock VR

The newest kid on the block at Sentosa is the HeadRock VR, a virtual reality theme park from South Korea, and Singapore’s first. There’s a whole range of VR activities for the whole family to take part in. From archery to jungle adventures, there’ll be no shortage of fun.

You can either go for a single ride or get a ticket for several rides, but families receive 15% off when you purchase three or more packages!

Address: 26 Sentosa Gateway, #01-38/39, 098138

6.   Airzone

Airzone is a suspended net playground that spans three levels in City Square Mall, and it’s definitely the most fun you can have in a mall! After being briefed on safety, you’re free to enjoy the ball pit, go through the 3D net maze, or down the big slide. Your little ones will have no problem entering the area, as long as they’re accompanied by a supervising adult if they’re under seven years old.

Address: 180 Kitchener Road, #02-K4, K10, 208539

7.   LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort

If you’re looking to make a family trip out of your weekend, why not venture into Johor Bahru to give LEGOLAND a visit? Staying for just a day would hardly be enough, as there’s so much ground to cover with an amusement park and waterpark. The Legoland Hotel with their themed rooms is the perfect way to extend the fun into the night!

Address: 7, Jalan Legoland, Medini, 79250 Nusajaya, Johor, Malaysia

The next time you’re planning a weekend out with the family, consider the smiling faces of your loved ones when you visit some of these fun-filled attractions!
