The Market Bangkok Is Becoming PLATINUM POP: More Than 150 Food, Beauty and Lifestyle Outlets in Bangkok
If you love shopping, then you’ll love the new The Market Bangkok!
If you love shopping and eating, keep an eye on the newly rebranded PLATINUM POP in Bangkok!
As if we needed another reason to visit Bangkok, the Thai capital is giving one of its central shopping venues a major makeover. The Market Bangkok, which opened in February 2019, is being rebranded as PLATINUM POP, with the first phase officially opening on 30 June 2026.
Located in Ratchaprasong and connected to the Chit Lom and Siam BTS stations via the R-Walk skywalk, it boasts an everything-under-one-roof concept. This means visitors can eat, shop for beauty and lifestyle products, and then recharge with a massage without leaving the complex.
A new identity for The Market Bangkok
Image credit: Platinum Pop Facebook PageOf course, that’s not quite enough to differentiate itself from the many malls in Bangkok. To do so, PLATINUM POP is moving away from The Market Bangkok’s original focus on stall-style shopping and repositioning itself as “The Centre of Bangkok’s Pop Life”.
The revamp will introduce a new mix of dining, beauty, fashion and lifestyle experiences, with an emphasis on accessible prices, flexible retail spaces and plenty of variety.
More than 150 outlets in Phase 1
You’d be hard-pressed to not find something you like here! The first phase will bring together more than 150 food, beauty and souvenir outlets across the newly developed zones.
On the M floor, EVEANDBOY will launch its first lifestyle café concept, combining beauty retail with a space for drinks and socialising.
The first-floor TOFU SKINCARE MEGA MART, scheduled to open on 4 July 2026, will span more than 7,200 square metres. Visitors will find Thai skincare, cosmetics, snacks, packaged food and popular souvenirs, with products available at wholesale prices from the first item purchased.
House of Littlebunny is also expected to open its largest flagship store at PLATINUM POP in August 2026.
More shopping categories are planned for Phase 2 in the first quarter of 2027, including art toys, gaming and gadgets, second-hand fashion, branded goods, wellness, speciality cafés and restaurants.
Eat, drink, shop, repeat

Inspired by Bangkok’s Yaowarat district, LAI JIE will bring together well-known restaurants, heritage food businesses, desserts, drinks and street-food favourites within an indoor setting.
The options are wide-ranging, with names including After You, Rosniyom, Phra Nakhon Boat Noodles, Yuan Ji Dumplings, Samyan Suki and a redesigned Starbucks. Visitors can also try Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, halal and international dishes from numerous other outlets.
And yes, there’s far more than a conventional food court. LAI JIE’s alley-inspired interiors, neon signs and Chinese zodiac artwork are designed to recreate elements of Yaowarat’s lively atmosphere in the heart of Ratchaprasong.
Get those tired feet rubbed
When in Thailand, one must not fail to get a massage. We totally understand the need to get a good rub-down after all that walking, and you can get just that at the Let’s Relax spa on the fourth storey.
The spa is among the existing tenants continuing to operate during the complex’s phased redevelopment. Other returning outlets include Momo Paradise and Rama 9 Kai Yang on the third floor, along with 786 Salon and MOS Dental Clinic on the fourth floor.
Address: 111 Ratchadamri Road, Lumphini, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330
Opening hours: Hours may vary by outlet during the phased opening, so check PLATINUM POP’s official channels before visiting.
Phase 1 opening date: 30 June 2026
