The Japanese tidying expert and author made waves in 2019 when her self-hosted Netflix series, Tidying Up With Marie Kondo, introduced interesting ways of decluttering through inspiring home makeovers.
Now a mother of two, Marie Kondo is back with a set of new life-changing lessons for organising. Premiering on Netflix in the summer of 2021, the new series will delve deep into her methods of organising and how they can affect businesses, relationships, and communities, according to a press release from Netflix via Travel + Leisure.

Sparking Joy with Marie Kondo

In the new series, entitled Sparking Joy with Marie Kondo, viewers get to see Kondo’s life at home as she takes us around her own space and shows her dynamics with her daughters. Of course, you can still expect to see regular sessions with her home makeover clients, which was one of the biggest draws of her 2019 Netflix series.
“The impacts of tidying are surprising, emotional and transformative in the lives of the people Marie meets. Throughout the process, viewers will also step into Marie’s own home, meet her family, and get a glimpse into how she sparks joy in her daily life!”, the press release also said.

As of writing, Netflix has not yet announced the exact release date of Kondo’s new series. But the woman of the hour has already expressed her excitement about the project on Instagram. “I am delighted to officially announce my new Netflix series. In this show, I take my teachings beyond the home to share how the life-changing magic of tidying can transform our businesses and communities, too. I can’t wait for you to see it!” Kondo said in her caption.
