Singapore's 1st Indoor Snow Centre, Snow City Singapore to Close After More Than Two Decades
After 26 years of bringing winter to Singapore, this place is saying goodbye.
After over 20 years of bringing winter to the equator, Snow City Singapore has announced it will be closing its doors permanently.

The attraction, which opened in 2000 as Singapore's first indoor snow centre, invited the public to experience one final snowfall under the hashtag #OneLastSnowfall. The closure marks the end of an era for generations of Singaporeans who touched snow for the first time without ever leaving the tropics.
In a statement, Snow City described the decision as a heartfelt farewell rather than a simple closure.
"We aren't just closing a building; we are closing a chapter of a story we wrote together," the notice read. "Your laughter has been the heartbeat of our sub-zero halls, and your joy has kept us warm through every frost."

Located at 21 Jurong Town Hall Road in Jurong East, Snow City was a pioneering concept when it first opened. Long before indoor ski domes became common across Asia, Snow City offered Singaporeans a sub-zero playground complete with snow slopes, ice slides, and real snowfall.
Over the years, the attraction became a milestone destination. Toddlers experienced snow for the first time on its frosty floors. Couples had nervous first dates on the ice. Families returned year after year, watching children grow up and eventually bring their own children.
"From our very first guest in 2000 to the families visiting us today, Snow City has been the home of winter in Singapore for over two decades," the management shared on social media. "We've seen so much fun, love, and laughter through the years."

The centre has invited past and present visitors to return for a final visit before the doors close permanently.
"Whether you visited us 'then' or 'now,' you are a vital part of our story," the notice read. "This is your final chance to walk through the frost, slide down the ice, and most importantly – recall and keep your memories forever."
Snow City urged the public not to "let the magic melt away without one last goodbye."
