New Shilla Monogram Hotel to Open in Hanoi This October
So, Shilla Monogram now has two hotels in Vietnam ~
Hanoi is getting a new upscale stay just in time for year-end travel. The Shilla Hotels & Resorts is set to open Shilla Monogram Hanoi Westlake on 23 Oct 2026, bringing its lifestyle hotel brand to Vietnam’s capital. The 319-room property will be the fourth Shilla Monogram hotel worldwide and the brand’s second in Vietnam, joining Shilla Monogram Da Nang.
For travellers, that means there will soon be two Shilla Monogram properties to choose from in Vietnam: one by the coast in Da Nang and another in Hanoi, close to the capital’s sprawling West Lake.

A new stay near Hanoi’s West Lake

Shilla Monogram Hanoi Westlake is located in Starlake, an 186-hectare urban district near the western side of West Lake, which indirectly adds another appeal for leisure travellers. Hanoi’s largest natural lake is surrounded by cafés, restaurants, historic temples and waterside scenery, making it a popular place to walk, dine or simply take a break from sightseeing.
The hotel itself takes inspiration from its surroundings, with its layered architectural forms referencing Vietnam’s traditional terraced rice fields in a contemporary way.
Rooms, pools and skyline views
Shilla Monogram Hanoi Westlake will feature 319 guest rooms. Deluxe rooms measure 42 square metres and are designed with space for both work and relaxation, while Signature Suites on the upper floors offer larger living areas and panoramic views across Hanoi.
One of the hotel’s biggest highlights will be found on the 35th floor, where guests can enjoy the Monogram Lounge, Bar M and an outdoor infinity pool overlooking West Lake and the Hanoi skyline. There will also be an indoor pool, fitness centre and spa for travellers looking to recharge between outings.
Plenty to eat without leaving the hotel
The hotel will have five dining venues, giving guests several options without having to venture far. Dining M will serve international selections alongside Korean dishes, while Pastry M will offer pastries, coffee and tea. JINJI specialises in Korean cuisine and comes with six private dining rooms, while HASUNGO serves contemporary Chinese dishes. Up on the 35th floor, Bar M pairs drinks with views across the city.
Travelling for business or an event? The property will also feature a 700-square-metre Grand Ballroom, together with meeting rooms, a pre-function area and an outdoor deck.

If you have time between pool sessions and meals, the surrounding West Lake area offers several places worth adding to your Hanoi itinerary. Start with West Lake itself. The hotel identifies the lake as one of its key nearby attractions, thanks to its waterside scenery, cafés, restaurants and cultural sites scattered along the shore.

One of the best-known landmarks here is Tran Quoc Pagoda, a Buddhist temple with a history of approximately 1,500 years. Set beside the lake, it combines traditional architecture with tranquil waterfront views and is regarded as Hanoi’s oldest Buddhist temple.
Continue towards Truc Bach Lake, where travellers can explore another scenic pocket of the city. Nearby Quan Thanh Temple, an 11th-century Taoist temple, can also be incorporated into a lakeside walk along Thanh Nien Street. Vietnam Tourism highlights this area as one of Hanoi’s rewarding heritage walking routes.

For the classic Hanoi experience, head further into the city towards Hoan Kiem Lake and the Old Quarter. Hoan Kiem is a major gathering point for locals, while the neighbouring Old Quarter packs historic streets, street food, cafés and traditional shop houses into a compact part of central Hanoi.
Shilla Monogram now has two hotels in Vietnam
The Hanoi opening also marks another step in Shilla Monogram’s expansion in Vietnam. Its first property in the country, Shilla Monogram Da Nang, opened in 2020. With Shilla Monogram Hanoi Westlake joining the portfolio, the brand will now have two hotels in Vietnam, giving travellers the option of a coastal stay in Da Nang or a city break in Hanoi.
Outside Vietnam, Shilla Monogram also operates properties in Gangneung, South Korea, and Xi’an, China, making Hanoi the brand’s fourth hotel worldwide. The two Vietnam properties also suit very different trips. Da Nang puts travellers close to Central Vietnam’s beaches and heritage destinations, while Hanoi offers access to the culture, food and historic neighbourhoods of the country’s capital.

There’s an opening package too
To mark its debut, Shilla Monogram Hanoi Westlake will introduce the “Hanoi First Monogram Moment” package. It includes breakfast for two at Dining M, welcome drinks at Bar M, early check-in from 12pm and late check-out until 2pm, giving guests extra time to enjoy the hotel during their stay.
With its West Lake setting, rooftop infinity pool, multiple dining options and easy access to both modern and historic sides of Hanoi, Shilla Monogram Hanoi Westlake adds another noteworthy option to the capital’s hotel scene when it officially opens on 23 Oct 2026.
