Ever wondered what it would be like to walk among giants? Singapore is about to be transported back millions of years! DINOSAURS | EXTINCTIONS | US is opening at Science Centre Singapore on 11 Oct 2025, and it is set to be the largest dinosaur showcase the city has ever seen. From towering sauropods to the mighty Tyrannosaurus rex, prehistoric creatures are set to take over the Science Centre in a once-in-a-lifetime exhibition.
Jointly presented by Science Centre Singapore and the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum, this landmark exhibition brings together two world-renowned showcases (Dinosaurs of Patagonia and Six Extinctions) for the first time in one epic experience.

The highlight of the exhibition is undoubtedly the 40-metre-long cast of Patagotitan mayorum, one of the largest dinosaurs ever discovered. Visitors can stand beneath its towering frame, imagining what it must have been like to live alongside these prehistoric titans that once weighed around 70 tonnes.
Beyond Patagotitan, the exhibition features an impressive collection of 33 rare fossils and 60 full-scale models. From colossal sauropods to fierce predators, these displays breathe life into creatures that last walked the Earth millions of years ago.

The journey continues with Gondwana Studios’ Six Extinctions, where over 30 displays chronicle Earth’s most dramatic die-offs. Here, visitors will meet “Scotty”, the largest Tyrannosaurus rex ever found. The experience culminates in a powerful reminder: the sixth mass extinction is unfolding right now, driven by human impact on biodiversity.
Singapore’s own extinction story

Bringing the story closer to home, the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum has curated a section on Singapore’s extinct species. Specimens such as the cream-coloured giant squirrel and the rufous-collared kingfisher. They’re both now nationally extinct, reminding visitors of the fragility of local ecosystems. Interactive displays and scientific tools also showcase how researchers are working to predict and prevent further species loss.
