Aogashima Island – Living Inside Japan’s Active Volcano

For some strange reasons, there are people who still opt to live in an environment that is unpredictably dangerous like Aogashima Island, a volcanic Japanese island in the Philippine Sea. The active volcano in the island had a devastating history of volcanic eruptions that killed many villagers. Despite this natural threat, around 200 people still live there up to now.

While it is easy to navigate the island, reaching there is the most challenging part.
