The release of the Nintendo Switch 2 has been all the rage lately, and most of us are wondering if it’s really worth getting. Well, the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience at Jewel gives you a chance to try it out for yourself before making the call.
The experience gives you the chance to try out the new Mario Kart World. I got to play two races during my own visit, and it was quite a fun and smooth experience. They are well-staffed with friendly volunteers who also know their way around the game. Whether you’re a Mario Kart fan or just curious about the Switch 2, this is a great way to test the waters without committing right away.
Nintendo Pop-Up Store: Small but full of goodies

The Nintendo Pop-Up Store at Jewel may not be very huge, but it’s packed with a fantastic range of official Nintendo merchandise. You’ll find over 500 items, including more than 150 exclusives from fan favourites like Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing, and Splatoon. It’s a great place to pick up collectibles and gifts.
There’s also an experience booth inside the store itself. Side note: if you’re a Pokémon fan, the Pokémon Centre also has its own experience booth. There, you can play Pokémon Scarlet and Violet on the Switch 2, a nice bonus if you want to get a feel for the new console.
Shōnen Jump Pop-Up Store

The Shōnen Jump Pop-Up Store at Jewel, open till 31 August, is a must-visit for any manga fan. The store carries exclusive items from beloved series like One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia and more.
The pop-up’s been going on for a while now, so some of the merch has sold out, but it’s still totally worth dropping by. Fans have left post-it notes all over the store, filled with witty and heartfelt references to their favourite anime characters and moments. It was really nice to see the positive side of fandom, and how people connect and share their love in such creative ways.
